Group Work

Group work gives opportunity to learn from the experiences of others, as well as to provide support to others with a similar challenge.

Before being placed in a group, children/teens will have a brief assessment session with a group facilitator to ensure a good fit in the group.

Conflict resolution skills are important for many reasons. They are essential life skills as they help individuals get along with others. Children with good conflict resolution skills are able to make and keep friends. The ability to get along with others also translates to the family unit and to sibling relationships.

Children who learn to resolve conflict well have better communication and collaborative skills, which lead to enhanced leadership capabilities. More opportunities are available to individuals who have good conflict resolution skills. It is beneficial for children to develop these abilities, so they may have positive friendships and social opportunities.
